A CS2 weekly drop is the free item reward for playing. Once a week, a Prime account that has earned enough XP to rank up gets a weekly care package. The package shows four items, and the player picks two to keep. The rest are lost when the week resets.
The offers come from the drop pool. They can be cases, weapon skins from active collections, graffiti, and sometimes tools such as a Charm Detachment. The mix and the odds for each slot are set by Valve and are not published in full, so community tracking is the main source for what each slot tends to give.
Who gets weekly drops in CS2?
Only Prime accounts. CS2 is free to play, but free accounts earn no XP for drops and receive no weekly care package. Prime is a one-time purchase, and players who bought or earned Prime in the past keep it.
The package resets on a fixed weekly schedule. If you do not rank up in a given week, you get nothing for that week, and the reward does not roll over. Playing more than needed in one week does not give a second package.
How much is a weekly drop worth?
Most weekly drops are worth very little, often less than the fee to sell them. The value comes from the occasional active-pool case, which can be sold or held, and the rare higher-grade skin. Over a year, a player who claims every week can build a small pile of cases whose value may grow as the drop pool rotates.
Pick the item with the highest market value unless you have a reason to hold a specific case. Skins from active collections are usually the low-value option, and graffiti is almost always worth the least.
