How does the inventory value checker work?

Type or paste your CS2 items into the box, one item per line. Use the market name with the wear in brackets, like AK-47 | Redline (Field-Tested). The checker finds each item in our Skinport price snapshot, multiplies by the quantity and adds everything up. The total, your top 10 items and a list of anything it could not match all update as you type.

You do not have to type perfect names. Case does not matter, the ™ and ★ symbols are optional, and short wear names work too: fn, mw, ft, ww and bs. Write st or stattrak for StatTrak items. You can also use the search box to find an item and add it to the list with its exact name.

When you are happy with the result, press Share result to get a link with a card that shows your total.

How do I add quantities?

Put the count before or after the name. All of these lines mean three of the same skin:

If the same item appears on several lines, the counts are added together. Lines that start with # are ignored, so you can leave notes. The checker reads up to 500 lines.

Where do the prices come from?

Every price comes from one source: a snapshot of the public Skinport items API and sales history API. The snapshot used on this page was taken on 24 Sep 2026 at 03:38 UTC. We do not have prices from other marketplaces, so the total is a Skinport total, not a "whole market" value.

You can pick how each item is valued:

• Lowest listing is the cheapest price a Skinport seller is asking right now.
• 7-day median sale is the middle price of completed Skinport sales over the last 7 days.

When the chosen number is missing, the checker uses the other one, then the 30-day median sale, and marks that item. Our snapshot includes items that are still trade locked, which can list below tradable ones.

The snapshot covers weapon skins, knives, gloves and weapon cases. Stickers, agents, music kits, pins and graffiti are not in it yet, so those lines show as not found and are left out of the total.

Why do I paste my items instead of entering my Steam profile?

Many inventory sites ask for a Steam profile link and read the inventory for you. We checked whether we could do that within Steam's rules, and the answer was not clear enough, so we do not.

The only public way to read a CS2 inventory is the Steam Community inventory page for a profile. That page is not part of the documented Steam Web API. The Steam Web API Terms of Use license "the Steam Web API", which they describe as "Valve's service allowing licensees to retrieve certain data regarding Steam and games available via Steam". The documented way to read a player's inventory, IInventoryService/GetInventory, "requires a publisher API key", which only the game's publisher has.

The Steam Subscriber Agreement also says: "You may not use any form of scripts, bots, macros, or other non-human-controlled systems ("Automation") to interact with Content and Services on Steam in any manner". A server that fetches Steam pages for visitors is that kind of automation.

So this checker never contacts Steam. It never asks for your Steam login, your Web API key or your trade link, and your list is priced and then forgotten. A site that asks for your API key to "check your inventory" is a red flag. Read Steam API key scams to see why.

Worked example 1: a mixed inventory

Prices are Skinport numbers from the 24 Sep 2026 snapshot. The box starts empty. Until you type, the results show this real-price example: 12 popular skins, one of each. Press Put the example in the list to edit it.

At lowest listings the total is $646.69. At 7-day medians it is $729.77, about 13% higher. The gloves alone are 55% of the lowest listing total, so this inventory's value mostly depends on one item.

Worked example 2: a quick list with mistakes

Here is a short list typed in a hurry:

1. 3x USP-S | Cortex (Field-Tested) is read as three Cortex at $2.93 each, $8.79.
2. awp asiimov ft matches AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested) at $99.35.
3. AK-47 | Redline has no wear, so it could be four different items. The checker lists it as not found and offers buttons for the likely wears. Click one to fix the line.
4. Kilowatt Case matches the case. Skinport had no listing for it, so the checker uses its 7-day median sale, $0.19, and marks the row.

The total is $108.33 for 5 items from 3 lines that matched. Fix line 3 and the total goes up by that Redline's price.

Is the total what my inventory would sell for?

No. It is what the same items are listed for, or recently sold for, on Skinport. If you sold everything, you would usually price under the cheapest seller and pay a seller fee on each sale. Slow-selling items can take days or weeks to go.

Use it for a quick total before you sell, trade up or cash out, or to see which few items hold most of your value.
