Which links earn us money?
Buttons that say "Visit" and link through /go/ may be affiliate links. Every one of them has a short note right below it saying so. Links inside our guides and tools that point to Steam, Valve or other sources are never affiliate links.
Does a commission change a ranking?
No. Scores come from a fixed formula based on our own tests, published on the methodology page. Affiliate status is not part of the formula. We review sites that pay us nothing using the exact same process.
What we will never do
- Take money for a higher score, a better position or a softer review.
- Hide a problem we found because a site pays us.
- Publish a promo code we have not checked in the last 30 days.
- Show affiliate links to case opening sites inside our free tools or simulators.
Sponsored placements
If we ever sell a sponsored placement, it will be labelled "Sponsored" in the place it appears. Sponsored placements never appear inside rankings, scores or reviews.
