Gloves change how your hands look in first person. They are visible on every weapon you hold, which is why many players value them as much as a knife. Gloves were added to CS:GO in 2016 with the Glove case, and they have appeared in a handful of cases since, each with its own set of designs.
Gloves sit in the Rare Special Item tier, the gold slot with about 0.26% odds per case. A case that holds gloves in its gold slot does not hold knives, so glove hunters open different cases than knife hunters.
Which glove models and finishes exist?
Models include Sport Gloves, Specialist Gloves, Driver Gloves, Hand Wraps, Moto Gloves, Bloodhound Gloves, Hydra Gloves and Broken Fang Gloves. Each model has several finishes, and some finishes are far more wanted than others. Sport Gloves tend to lead the market, with finishes like Pandora's Box and Vice among the best known.
Gloves come in the usual five wear tiers, but many finishes look worn even at Field-Tested, and Factory New gloves are scarce because their float caps often start high. This makes wear tier and float a huge part of a glove's price.
Can gloves be StatTrak or Souvenir?
No. Gloves have no StatTrak version and no Souvenir version, which sets them apart from knives and weapon skins. They also cannot take stickers or charms.
How do you get gloves?
Open a case that contains them, buy them from another player or a marketplace, or, since October 2025, trade up five Covert skins from a glove case and receive a random knife or gloves from the input collections. Because a glove case's gold slot holds several models and finishes, the result of a Covert trade-up is far from certain.
